Originally contacted by Captain James Cook during his three voyages to the region and the location of the Mutiny on the Bounty, fascinating stories abound from the region. The origins and unique culture of the Polynesians will be described, including their customs, ceremonies, food, & materials. Finally, the dramatic effect of European & American contact & occupation on the population and culture of the Polynesians will be revealed.
